New York car accident injures 3, kills 1

A car crash in New York is responsible for injuring three individuals and killing one woman. The car accident occurred in the Bronx on Sunday, May 1. It is unknown whether any criminal charges are pending against the driver believed to be responsible for the wreck.

According to authorities, a 58-year-old woman was killed when her vehicle was struck by a small SUV. The driver of the SUV — for reasons unknown — crossed the center line of traffic, striking the victim’s sedan head-on. Two children — ages 5 and 10 — were in the sedan and suffered injuries as a result of the wreck. Both children were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The driver of the SUV was also injured. This individual was taken to an area hospital in stable condition. The investigation into this matter is still ongoing. As of the latest news report, no arrests have been made regarding this event.

This was certainly a tragic car accident, one that is likely to leave the affected children and surviving family members of the deceased devastated in a number of ways. In accordance with the laws of New York, those negatively affected by this incident may have legal recourse.
