Bronx man killed in truck accident

Those close to a man who was recently killed when hit by a garbage truck in New York want answers as to why this happened. They say that the driver responsible for the truck accident has struck and killed someone before. Police and the city are working toward having the trucker's license suspended.

According to a recent news report, on April 27, a man in his 70s was walking on E. 152nd St in Morrisania when he was hit by a Sanitation Salvage truck. Sadly, he died at the scene of the crash. The victim was a long time resident in the area. His loss has affected numerous individuals.

The driver of the truck -- a 33-year-old male -- is said to have hit and killed another individual in Nov. 2017. As that incident was ruled an accident, he was allowed to keep his commercial driver's license and job. That may not be the case this time around. While no criminal charges have been filed in relation to this recent event, he has been suspended from work and his license may be taken from him.

Accidents do happen, but when a person is responsible for the death of another human being it is okay to question that individual's ability and actions. Did this truck driver exercise care while operating his garbage truck? If negligence is thought to have contributed to this truck accident, the victim's loved one's may be entitled to seek compensation for their losses. If deemed appropriate, an experienced wrongful death attorney can help surviving family members navigate the New York civil claims process in pursuit of maximum relief.
