Fatal car accident in New York claims 3 lives

In the early morning hours of July 8, police in New York were called to investigate a car crash on Long Island. They arrived to find two mangled vehicles and three people dead. The surviving family members of the victims of this fatal car accident may be entitled to seek compensation for their tragic losses.

According to reports, a 65-year-old male was driving his sedan in Amityville, his 34-year-old son in the passenger seat, when his car was struck head-on by another vehicle. This incident occurred at approximately 12:35 a.m., on Oak Street. The force of impact was so great, these gentlemen died in or shortly after the event.

The driver believed responsible for the collision -- a 27-year-old male -- also died after impact. As of the latest report, authorities are unsure why this individual crossed into oncoming traffic. The investigation into this matter is ongoing.

There really are no words that could offer comfort to the victims' loved ones. This was a tragedy, plain and simple, one that has changed their lives forever. At this point, all they can hope for is answers and compensation for any resulting damages.

An attorney with experience handling fatal car accident cases may be able to help them achieve the answers they want and the compensation they need. With legal assistance, an in-depth investigation can be conducted, and if it is deemed appropriate, legal claims may be filed against the estate of the deceased in a New York civil court. If litigation proves successful, monetary relief may be achieved.
